Caretory is building the world's first standardised network of animal shelters. We start in Andorra, a country actively reforming its animal welfare legislation and positioned as one of Europe's fastest-growing destinations for sustainable mountain tourism. From there, we scale across France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Ireland.

Our shelters are not just shelters. Each location is a community hub where children celebrate birthdays alongside gentle animals under professional guidance, where citizens walk shelter dogs through mountain trails under the eye of trained handlers, and where a welfare-first cat cafe lets people sit quietly in a space the cats call home. Every interaction follows one principle: the animal always has the right to say no.

Every facility integrates a productive permaculture garden that supplies fresh food supplements for the animals and ingredients for the on-site cafe, meaningfully reducing each shelter's carbon footprint compared to traditional configurations. Solar energy, heat recovery, and certified green construction complete the picture.

How it works

Caretory operates through a three-tier structure that separates mission from capital. A holding company in Andorra owns the brand, the technology platform, and the welfare standard. A dedicated real estate fund owns the land and buildings. Local non-profit organisations in each country operate the shelters on the ground, collect donations, and ensure that every euro of surplus goes back to the animals. This structure allows private investment to fund the infrastructure while preserving the social mission at every point of care.
